The Horizon Europe project Exploration Information System (EIS), led by ETP SMR member GTK and with ETP SMR members BRGM, Luleå University, SGU, and Talga as project partners, will be completed in October 2025. Over the past three years, the EIS consortium has designed and delivered new concepts for mineral exploration, and created advanced data analysis tools to support the discovery of new sources of critical raw materials essential for the EU’s strategic autonomy.

The event will showcase the project’s key outcomes, particularly the EIS Toolkit and the EIS QGIS Wizard—two open-access tools now available to researchers and specialists to support mineral systems analysis and predictive mapping. Their release represents a significant step forward in making advanced AI-powered exploration tools publicly available for assessing critical raw materials across the European Union.

Katarina Nilsson, ETP SMR President, will participate in the panel discussion on Encouraging exploration across mining regions in Europe.

The finalized agenda and registration link will be available soon.
